Tips for palming cards with small hands (from a woman whose fingers are only wide enough to cover the card down at the knuckles and whose hand is not long enough to hold the the card at the top part of the heel of the palm):  You can still palm a card, I promise.  Hold the top of the card with the first knuckle of the pinkie and bend the card slightly so that area below your thumb is holding the left edge (if you are doing it right-handed) rather than the end of the card.  The end of the card will poke up and out but can't be seen from the front.  You can't rotate your hand as much as if it was fully palmed, but if you're careful you can still use your hand a lot.  Use pressure to straighten the bend in the card when you set it down or pass it on.  One good way to straighten it up if you're playing cards is to rub your hands together and palm it off to the other hand--the opposite bends will make it lay straight again.  So no more excuses--unless the actual width of your entire palm is smaller than a card, you can still palm it.  You just need more precision and practice than people with bigger hands which, in the end, will probably make you better at palming cards than they are!  You have no room to be clumsy, because if you are a millimeter off they will see it.  But don't despair!  My hands aren't *ever* going to get bigger, but that's not going to stop me!  ;)

Good "to the point" instruction with NO annoying music. Simulated shuffling is good practice to avoid "flashing" the card. Thank you!

I suggest you keep changing the card you practice with so it does not bend from the heat in your hand or develop a "practice bend" . Keep using a fresh new card.

If you palm a card for a short period of time the bend should be barely noticeable. While you are practicing you will be palming a card for a while, so it will but a visible bend in it, but it is easy to bend the card back into normal shape.

Asad: your videos are great and you have enormous teaching skills. I would love to see you doing a video on double lifts. What are your favorites and how to master them. Thanks

anyone saying the card is bigger than their hand, try this, palm the card using the pinky as a guide, due to the angle your hand is naturally, it doesn't matter if it is bigger as the thumb is pointing towards yourself. Just try it in a mirror and watch the angles. :-)

Whenever I palm, my ring finger kind of bends in an awkward, unnatural position, and that also leaves a window between the pinky and ring fingers. Any advice for that?

OMG another video! Keep 'em coming!

Also, yeah, a palm without a bend is almost impossible. But make sure that the bend isn't permanent.

As long as you're putting tension between one corner of the card and the other, it will bend no matter what, so having the card a bit bent is fine

There's space between my fingers even tho I am keeping them as tight as possible so I have to angle my hand to not show the card in the gaps.

A workhorse in terms of palming for me has been executing a one handed palm and then handing the deck to the spectator to shuffle using the hand that has the palmed card. This drastically lowers suspicion that there is any funnybusiness going on.

Not only do I have a small hand, my fingers are short, and they are thin, especially at the tip. I have less than 1/8" of an inch held in any classic palm, or the back palm, meaning if there is even the tiniest bump or movement, the card releases from the areas of pressure from where I am trying to hold it secure. If I move my fingers even a little bit, I get flashing, or if I am off by just the littlest bit, the card can be seen on either side of hand or finger. UGH!

perhaps try using bridge sized cards? or try looking up different styles of palms.

I'm 30, my hands are small, equipped with wiennie fingers, as wide as a standard poker card, i have seen your video 3 weeks ago, i have since read the royal road to card magic, i can't feiggin' palm. If my life depended on it, i'd die. Tried bridge cards, poker cards, paper and plastic, nothing seems to work. Please gimme an advice, other than "keep at it". Thank you in advance, and thanx for the vids.

Looks/works great, however it's tricky not to bend the card as so when it is reproduced it doesn't look like it has been palmed.
