The New Scottish Hymns Band are a group of Christian musicians writing new worship songs for the church. The band performs and leads worship in churches and venues around Scotland, and seeks to explore and reignite the country's rich hymnwriting tradition. They draw on Scotland’s folk sensibilities to write melodies which are simple and memorable, with lyrics that reflect the poetic roots and profound theological truths which influenced the great hymnwriters of the past.

The New Scottish Hymns Band is a ministry that seeks to glorify God in Scotland and around the world by bridging gaps in church musical culture, and helping the church - the bride of Christ - reflect on her wonderful reasons for singing.

I love hymns with a little modern twist BUT the music MUST marry the lyrics. This doesn't .

The lyrics are good, and the voice is good, but as seems to be the trend, a modern twist on the music and then drums, I guess the idea of money over that of a holding to .... never mind no body ever listens to so called negative criticism so become another Hillsong, but I will not continue to listen, following God's words as written by another is one thing to go modern in search of a following is quite another, and that is why the Bible is being perverted, for once it has started it never seems to just end with one; kind of like the old Lays Potatoe chip commercial, you can't stop with just one... a thought not a criticism.
