In a surprising turn of events, former Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor has made headlines by announcing his decision to transfer to Iowa after just one season with the Crimson Tide. Proctor, a highly touted five-star recruit in 2023, had initially committed to the Hawkeyes but made a last-minute switch to Alabama before signing.

Returning to his Iowa roots, Proctor's decision to transfer gained attention, particularly due to a statement he made during a recent appearance at a Hawkeye basketball game. Speaking with Camille Gear, a sports reporter for WQAD, Proctor shared insights into his choice, stating, “No bridges were burned, you know what I’m saying? So, that’s why it was so easy for me to pick [Iowa] when I did enter the transfer portal because we still have those relationships.”

He went on to reveal that even during his challenging moments in the SEC, Iowa reached out with encouragement, expressing pride in his abilities and assuring him that he would overcome the difficulties. This unexpected revelation has stirred discussions among fans, with some quick to raise tampering accusations.

The situation prompted a closer look at NCAA regulations, specifically NCAA bylaw 13.1.1.3, which addresses contact between athletics staff members and student-athletes of other institutions. The bylaw emphasizes the necessity of obtaining written permission from the first institution's athletics director before making any direct or indirect contact.

While Proctor's transfer decision and statement are still fresh, questions have surfaced, not only from Crimson Tide supporters but also from media and fans nationwide. I would move him inside. He gave up@ ton of sacks and I thought he’d gotten a little better until the Michigan game where he got abused.

All of the players that left were not the best at there positions. Most would be competing agianst a better player next year. Hopefully theyll get better and maybe play in nfl sometime. There is a lot of talent heading into next year at Alabama. Rtr.
