How to Make an Iced Latte | Perfect Coffee

My name is Mike Jones, and I'm a barista at Third Rail Coffee right by Washington Square Park in New York City. I'm going to teach you some basic coffee-making skills.

I am going to show you how to make an Iced Latte. This is really simple as long as you have a few good shots of espresso. You have a glass of cold milk. And you pour the shot over that. Once it's finished, add some ice and there you go. So, I am going to get that espresso right in. Right, the espresso looks good. Just pour it over the milk. Either stir or swirl it around to incorporate it. Add the ice. Now, that's an Iced Latte. And, you can pour this into as much or as little amount of milk as you'd like. I like them short. So, it looks perfect.

idk who taught them how to make iced lattes that way but im a barista certification teacher and to make the drink you should put ice in the cup first and then pour in the milk and espresso together at the same time (“marrying” the milk/shots) so that they mix together well instead of having a drink that’s too milky or uneven.

Recipe should be glass of ice, then milk over ice then the espresso. So it's actually cold then. Milk will cool as it comes into contact with the ice and the espresso.

A flat white is a latte with microfoam (as it should be anyways, called flat white in Australia. Typically a smaller size (6-8 oz) latte.

So get you self some milk. Use a 700 dollar grinder for coffee, and then use 14, 000 dollar industrial espresso machine and then pour it into the milk.... okay.
