@designwithdale - nice tips channel and a good explanation of this plugin. PS it's been updated recently and can now number layers sequentially, batch add prefixes and suffixes, and batch remove stuff from a layer name too 😉

I don't any serious Photoshop users who routinely name layers as they are created. The only time I tidy up my layers is if I have to share the file, or at least a screen shot of the layers panel. Otherwise, it's a mess, so I have often thought it would be cool to have some sort of renaming tool.
