2:19 These differences are significant as they all add up plus this a premium phone for enthusiasts who will definitely pixel peep. The lenses are real star of the show with all of the lenses featuring wide apertures and close focusing distance allowing for a lot of versatility.
I am extremely interested in the 10 Bit LOG recording. 10 Bit is a huge upgrade over 8 bit in terms of color depth and it's rare to see OEMs provide this feature!
Finally the LYT-900 sensor means excellent RAW images which pros will definitely enjoy!

I pre-ordered from Xiaomi Spain for €1300 including the photography kit. Price is difficult to justify if you just want a point-and-shoot to post casual social media, but it looks really promising if you take advantage of the sensor and RAW, I plan to use it for astrophotography and have my expectations really high for that.

I hopped on and pre-ordered early here in the UK, used to use Huawei phones up to the Mate 30 Pro - could never stick with them after the whole GMS issue though 😢 also it's easy for me to jump on the Xiaomi ecosystem as my house is already filled with Xiaomi gadgets and gear from when I lived in China.

But yeah, here in the UK managed to get the early bird deals and get the phone, photography bundle and a Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet (which will be a Birthday present for someone I know), on top of this got a voucher which took the price down to £1249.00 - still not cheap, but worth it I think. With that I'll also get a voucher for the Mi store point system and a coupon for their AIOT stuff which I may make use of, we'll see.

This isn't going to be for everyone, especially with Honor biting at their heels, but for someone who misses the Huawei quality and performance, this is a welcome addition into the UK and European markets ❤️

I’d really like to see you review more than just the hardware. When I owned the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the software was the thing that let the phone down. Things like substandard photo/video editing tools, laggy/stuttery scrubbing of videos, half finished UI elements like the weird blank window when you swipe left from the Lock Screen etc. I’d like to see how mature the software is because that’s the thing that would stop me from buying the phone even if the hardware is amazing. I loved the camera, screen, physical design of the 11 Ultra. It was a fantastic phone but I sold it because of the software and went back to the iPhone 13 Pro which was arguably a downgrade in the hardware but a massive upgrade in the reliability and maturity of the software.

I appreciate Xiaomi's efforts to differentiate themselves in hardware innovations. They are pushing hard to compete with the likes of Apple and Samsung and are bringing some arguably more interesting hardware to their devices in order to stand out. Samsung and Apple need to watch out. Though, IMO the price for the global 14 ultra is rather excessive and actually makes the Galaxy s24 Ultra seem affordable, which is surprising. Its almost twice the price of their China model, though perhaps that's meant as a big middle finger to the Western market. If so, it's an odd strategy.

It's weird that the 14 Ultra is priced at €1500 but here in Malaysia it'll probably cost at least €1000. The Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro and 13 Ultra was about €700, €900 and €1100 respectively when converted in Malaysia but it's like €200 more in Europe. That's gotta sting for European fans.

Absolutely love the camera kit, 67 mm thread on the filters means all of my pro canon filters could be used, circular polariser would be great, grad filters, , ,, wonder if I could pop the Lee filter adapter on there, and it looks so much more natural taking shots with the shutter button, adjust the EV on the fly, on top of all that the weave finish on the case was superb, now I really can't decide on this or the open, dam lol, Ps, when is it available in UK?

The Phonegrip with Filters, Shutter and Zoom Buttons, better grip and small battery improvements is cool and could be a cool addon for phones in general.
