The little snippers you don’t like are real good for trimming off the loose ends. They can be used quickly because you don’t need to find finger holes. I’ve seen them used successfully with sewing machines, when snipping the thread quickly without huge blades comes in handy! I would use bigger ones for pompoms. Thanks for the review! I really don’t like scissors that are hard to open. The bird ones are gorgeous, but I wish they came with some kind of protection for the tip!

I actually use the ones you don't like. I love them. They are so much easier for me to use as I recover from stroke.

I find barber or hair cutting scissors have worked the best.
