mike rollerblading makes me so happy for some reason

I hear many singers that have powerful voices but can rarely match the crescendo in this song that ties the power of the voice to the emotion of the song. It works beautifully. Other singers can sound irritating when they wail to a vocal register with no musical emotion to support it. Kudos to a very fine album that grows with each listen.

Although there are several interpretations for the listener and the artist only gets one vote, in several interviews, Mike says it's about playing into stereotypes or avoiding them to make people more comfortable, i.e. "tither and coo like a cartoon." Remember, he is getting out hos "boiled up rage" from not being able to act how he is. Either way and whatever it reminds the listener of, this is a great track from a brilliant album.
