DIY Offroad Overland Camper Walkaround

In this video we take a look around the home made DIY camper.

The build process for the off road overland camper took was started about a year ago. It was usable in just a month, but took close to ten months to refine and get to the finished stage you see today.

In designing the tear drop trailer, Wes needed something that would perform well offroad, with plenty of clearance, and accommodate his family of five. At the time of building, no other trailer offered what he wanted or needed, so he decided on a home made camper. The popup top allows two additional bunks when popped up, so the whole family can go overlanding!

Great build! I think this might be the nicest build quality I've ever seen on a homemade camper. You have some serious skills. Great job and have fun exploring with it!

You're one bad dude! I'm prepping for a build and your DIY Offroad Overland is the best I've ever seen! I just finished my jeep build and an off-road camper completes for sharing.

Building our first overland trailer in just a few days to accommodate our growing family. Your channel and videos have been a great inspiration. Nothing beats being comfortable while taking the whole family on epic adventures. Keep up the good work.

That's a great little set up, what I like most is that it is so functional everything does it's job, I would be painting those walls though and putting kick plates all around the bottom six inches because it is bound to get boot marks on it some time, Maybe some thin checker plate or formica type material, Anything as long as it is easy to keep clean and resists damage, Nice job and a great video, thanks for posting it. good luck.

We've got a family of 5 as well as a dog too. A trailer is definitely in the works, thanks for putting this out there and giving me a few pointers to think about.

I just 'thought' I was impressed with this build until I saw the shower area...THEN i was stoked! What a fantastic setup using a rifle case to store an outside shower! Ingenous!
You did a great job in building this camper trailer! I'm not a typical 'trailer-type camper person' but I must confess I am, like, WOWWWW! My compliments...Jim in Houston, Texas.

Great job bro.
I'm extremely interested.
Light weight.
Low so the wind doesn't catch it.
Roomy.
With cooking and shower.
I really like it.
Props to you.

A pop top on a small camper like that is brilliant. I had in mind, if I had the ability, to build something like that someday.

Very well thought out build. Very impressed with what you put into. I can appreciate the effort and I am certain your family will too. From experience, I remember the times I spent with my family in the wilderness in our popup in much greater detail than ANY night in a hotel room. Happy Boondocking!

I just love that camper!! I have a family of 5 as well, and really debated trying to get an rv, but I'd rather have that type of camper and have my jeep with me. Plus i always loved the security of a trailer like that vs a standard soft top roof tent. If you have some bad weather at least you have somewhere to ride it out in a more secure shelter. And i have the same frustration about finding one to fit my family.

I dig the use of the gun case as a way to hide the shower.
