Is there a VR game like sea of thieves??? YES and it's called SAIL

Sail is an Open World VR Pirate Game coming soon to the Meta Quest ( Oculus Quest ) , SteamVR, and other VR platforms. In SAIL players will be able to go on Treasure Hunts, Fight enemy pirates on land with swords and other pirate weapons and on sea with their cannons and crew. Sail is currently in the Alpha stage and we are actively looking to get feedback and suggestions on the current gameplay! So download SAIL and JOIN THE DISCORD and let us know what you think!

Early Access Release - CURRENT THOUGHTS

Our goals with early access would be #1 REWARD early adopters with a discounted version of SAIL (so if you bought SAIL in early access you' wouldn't have to buy it at the full price later ), #2 start collecting purchase / advertising data that I can share with potential investors to raise the funds for a fully flushed out version of multiplayer and #3 keep myself alive 😅 So the early access release would be the best version of what we currently have in our pipeline but it would be subject to change and may not be 100% polished. We would continue to improve and ask for feedback but we would prioritize the feedback of those who've paid for the game. We would probably make changes to the gameplay and the balance of things until we got things right and we'd keep adding features as necessary. We'd also keep a free version of the game on AppLab that anyone could jump into but it would not have all the features that the full version would have. ( e.g. Free might have 5 islands, full version 37 )

This game will be one of the greatest VR games, I remember playing Sea of Thieves with my friend and saying, ”wouldn’t be awesome to play this in VR.” And it is happening! Also is there gonna be NPC that can sell you different swords, guns and ships? Keep up the great work on this game!

Life is your first priority bro, always take care of the stuff that really matters first! But I’m glad you’re not stalling or giving up on SAIL, it’s easy to get burnout on a project like this. Especially when the community right now is so small. Every big game starts somewhere though, and SAIL has so much potential.
Edit: also I would gladly give monetary support for SAIL via early access.

i downloaded it and i think it is amazing!
the only thing i can think of are making walking noises for the enemy’s so you can hear them sneak up on you.
also if their was a wind noise while on the boat would be sweet

I've got a question how did you get the blue gas mask and blue hat? my friend got and he doesn't know how he did so it would really help if you told me.

A few things to make the game better is
1. A ship wreck animation, for example when you destroy a ship it will do a cool sinking animation.

2. More npcs!

3. You can steal ships, so when you close to a ship you can jump on board and kill some npcs.

3. Monsters, like kraken and meg.

4. A storm going around the map, so when your in the storm it’s foggy rainy and the waves are high, the waves can sink your boat. And there are sea monsters their. Hope you liked my comment! Hope you add them all! ARRR

There’s a few thing I THINK should be changed
1. I think it would be amazing too put sound on when enemy cannons fire
2. Better acting NPCs
3. I want krakens and sea monsters ( I know it’s beta)
4. A much much bigger map
5. Better acting ships if ya know what I mean
6. NPCs selling items instead of just pressing a button.

Hey dude, just came back from a big vr break and the first thing I played when I got back on was sail. because last I played, was a few months back, I was very very shocked when I saw what sail has turned into. I remember watching all the videos about the ai ships and the combat and the voice commanded crews but it was crazy to see it all in this game. I probably played for at least 2 hours and I haven’t had that much fun in vr for a long time. I really love this game and think it can be something as popular as vr chat pavlov and the like. Keep up the amazing work I will play this game until the servers are shut down (rip halo 3)

Treasure hunts? Just make them random to sand so they spawn everywhere. Give a couple special ones ofc but pirate treasure is always hidden randomly.
Sometimes it may be guarded by one or two people maybe?

I just really started playing this game and question. Will blocking enemy sword attacks be eventually added. otherwise so far im loving the game. Just the blocking habbit keeps getting me killed lmao
