the thing with this is its all one story, just different perspectives of the ever destructive war.

They stand before the mastermind who pulled the strings on all their actions. Here they stand with heads held high even though they can barely breathe before the villain in all his glory. With the smirk upon his face he watches them struggle with glee, barking taunts and challenges to them. He mocks their resolve and spits upon their ideals. Here he stands, the one who brought them to this point, the root of it all. And yet unperturbed he congratulates them. And even as they struggled against a foe they cannot possibly defeat they raise their arms high and cry out in defiance, and even though they cannot win they would not fall without a fight. They would not slip with a whisper, but charge with a roar. And atop that battlefield, though the villain had won. Though the heroes had fell, the mastermind had realized. That those heroes, that those warriors died as they lived as proud heroes and warriors. And so he bowed out from the stage, knowing that one day those heroes will vanquish him. But that day, was not today.
