My parents loved the Beatles and we were glued to the TV that Sunday evening just to watch Ed Sullivan as we always did but especially on that night

I remember exactly where i was. I was lying on the living room dusty rose colored carpet in my parent's house. I was 8 years old and at that point i made a decision to become a rock musician. I've played and toured Europe, most of Canada. Reocrded on a feew albums and now own my own studio. Thank you Ed and the Beatles for a great life!

My sister and I just watched the DVD of The Ed Sullivan Show's first appearance of The Beatles. I remember my whole family sitting around the TV. My older sister was 14, so she and her friends knew The Beatles were going to be on that night. The rest of us were just watching Ed Sullivan. But when The Beatles came on, we somehow knew this was something special we were watching. This was history. Even at that age, I was 7, my brother's were 8, and 9, my little sister was 3 and a half, we all knew, this was history in the making. For the next several years, everything was Beatles this, Beatles that. It was an amazing time. And I just relived it again, thanks to DVD's.

I was one of the 73 million who saw the show. Of 60 years of comments about it, no one ever mentioned that the band began the first song but the sound was off for it seemed like eternity! I was fit to be tied, upset waiting for the sound to be fixed. Then when the music was heard, my life changed in the Hole !! I became Awakened !!

Best year in my teen life! On Monday after the Beatles had been on Ed Sullivan it was all us kids could talk about! I was 17 and that spring in 1964 I met my future husband at a dance in the high school gym. The first song we danced to was "I Saw Her StandingThere"
He started a garage band with 3 of his friends and he played bass guitar like Paul 😍
What a magical time!

Such a lifetime memory for me and my family. I knew Dad was not going to watch Ed Sullivan Show because of the Beatles. I knew enough of dad that he was a hard sell on it. He hated everything about the Beatles. Their hair, they're British, he felt they were just awful
and had no talent whatsoever. He was however putter in mom's hands.I begged mom to talk to dad on letting us see the Ed Sullivan's Show that time in history. Dad relented and let us see the Beatles that Sunday night. He saw my face and smiled at me. I gave that wonderful man the biggest hug and kiss to let him know I love him and he made his 7 year old daughter very happy. Years laterafter the 70's dad and I were shopping for mom and he heard a song that he just loved. He thought it was an amazing song. Of course he asked me if I knew tge title o the song and who sang it. I smiled back at dad and told him the song is" In My Life" by Beatle John Lennon. Needless to sayhe was in awe of just how talented the Beatles all are and from that moment on dad was a fan. I love you dad and mom for blessing me with a great and wonderful childhood.

The timeline of 1964 to 1970 was truly revolutionary. The Beatles appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show ignited a revolution in music, fashion and hairstyles. This cultural explosion went global. At the same time a massive leap in technology happened. Satellite communications, moon landings, audio compact cassettes, color TV and others. What an era !
