My friend once ordered a second hand Iphone 5S from Ebay, and once it came it looked second hand as the phone hadn't been reset before sold. Anyways, a few days after she had the Iphone she got a message from an unknown number saying please visit me in America, my friend and I are both Brits. So she ignored the message, then a few days later she got another message from the same number, exact same message as the first message. So she decided to block the number and ignore it. After that a new number popped up saying, Hey i'm back again reply to me before I come to your house in Britain. At this point she was really scared and decided to call the police, the police took the phone to police. We then found out it was a Male messaging all Females asking to come visit him. Anyways the man got found out and took away.

Happened to me twice :/ eBay and Amazon are filled with them. I've noticed that even the sealed ones don't look legit (the seal joining doesn't go all the way around the box)

I have a gold 5s, the writing on the back of the fakes are white but my one is the normal kind of chrome/black/shiny font similar to the real 5s shown in this video. Just another thing.

I have the (real) gold iPhone 5s and another sign is that the gold coloring on the entire phone is NOT a darker gold that people may have been expecting. Its more of a lighter color more similar to a light champagne color rather then a dark gold color like actual gold.

My iphone 5s opens appstore with no problem and everything looks fine but my earbuds jack is on the left from the charging jack, does it mean it is a fake one?

Go to T-Mobile iPhones are cheap but you have to stick with a 2 year contract. Also if you are with AT&T i heard they had this plan when if you stocked with them as you carrier for a long time they'll allow you to change your iPhone every time a new one releases.

I believe they have to state it in the description anyway. The good thing about eBay is good buyer protection, just be cautious :)

if you're unsure, just ask for the imei/serial # and also ask for pictures of multiple screens, especially siri and the app store (it would go to the play store if it was fake). also, if it comes with warranty then it's most definitely real. also if it has stock photos or just a generic photo of the phone (opposed to a photo taken of the phone from multiple angles and screens) then it's too risky. also it's better if they're just selling the 1 phone listed, not multiple.
