What apps and games do you want to see running on this in the next video?

I definitely want to see this chip turned into an Android car stereo, with the right screen and the right amplifier. I know it may sound overkill, but when you're using the maps app, spotify, car park cameras and other stuff, many "cheap" devices may let you down, crash apps, get slow... I would love to build one myself, but there are few singleboards that run android natively.

Is it just me, or is everything you review the most powerful X ever?

Khadas badly needs to put in the work on keeping their website, documentation and downloads/images up to date. Really let's the excellent hardware down.

Given that the board has an NPU (6 TOPS, my guess 8-bit) the main use is probably for running neural networks, AI

The current issue with all RK3588s based boards is that they’re limited to using the Android aimed branched kernel that RockChip maintain that is (as far as I know) way behind mainline. This limits support for things like Vulkan and less optimised OpenGL support. Luckily it seems mainline is having support added, which will open the door for way better distributions.

Dude there are so many small factor PCs that are getting better and better. I've been looking for an arm based sbc to hopefully make a mini retro all in one system.

I would love to see something like this but with more ports (like 2.5g eth, pcie 4x slot, etc, all of these are supported by that chip).
Video drivers are kind of a big thing here, currently we don't have great drivers that really take advantage of that gpu. It took a long time for the RK3399 to get proper open source drivers working, this is going to take quite some time as well IMO. Maybe next year we get improvements and better boards with more I/O

The PS2 emu was impressive 😮 can we possibly see Redream premium running and see how high the open gL will comfortably upscale things like Daytona USA, Sega Rally, MSR, Dead or Alive 2, the house of the dead 2 etc

I'd love to see this thing put into a retro handheld. Mostly curious to see how the port management on the case would be handled as well as getting air into the device for cooling.

If the price was a bit more in line with a pi this would make an awesome little retro console

I'm very interested in buying a few of these. I'll need to look into the specs but power consumption and video processing are critical to my projects.

For $200 you can get a decent x86 system. And you’re approaching the panda boards in price.

It's awesome to see how fast it all go's with new single board pc's.

I've been waiting for a good look at this one. I REALLY wished it had a MicroSD slot. I was all set to preorder the Pro model until I noticed no MicroSD slot.
Now, I'll think on it a while. I would be buying the model with case. I need to see a review with the new case before I buy at all.

I'd love a sbc that can multimonitor, and run Jellyfin. And to know how many 1080p jellyfin streams it could support.

Khadas is mostly for commercial applications like touch screens. All their board are customizable. They are big in the design of kiosks etc.

This SBC is almost perfect. The only thing that's missing is the M.2 slot. 😯

You think you could build a handheld console using this? I mean, it is a great performer, and knowing it is arm based SBC might give a real shot at it
