Draculaura's prototype was the one that looked the LEAST like a Monster High doll. She almost kinda looks like a My Scene doll.

This prototype Cleo looks more like OG Cleo. Lagoona actually looks better blue to me.

I don't see what the problem was with making duece and lagoonas skin colored in the movie? If they could use make up for Frankie and draculaura then they could do it for them. Also clawdeen looks to be darker on the prototype, so I'm disappointed that they changed that. I prefer Frankie's gothic prototype and I'm just not a fan of the pink on them imo. I like the way draculaura turned out, with the curvy body type. I don't love lagoona's prototype with the orange hoodie, BUT I'm still not a fan of the pink skin, and this just reminded me of that. Ik kids wanted the pink skin, but we don't need two pink characters, her name is lagoona BLUE so it just doesn't feel right to me. I like the way Cleo turned out, but I like the bangs on the prototype. Duece looks pretty similiar to his final design, so nothing really to say about that. One thing I don't like about this new generation is that they're adding pink to a lot of characters, even with the new Twyla and I gotta say I miss the indigo and gray color scheme she used to have. Also another weird thing is giving everyone long hair, ik it's a play doll line but if toralei has short hair in the show just give her short hair, same with ghoulia. I don't think I can forgive mattel for making lagoona pink, it just feels wrong. Also what demographic wanted pink? I mean how old were these kids? Like toddlers or older. I have a feeling they were young, and I feel like if they had asked tweens/teens they would've said otherwise. Not everyone likes pink, and it's not gonna work for everyone or every character, it's just not.

I really don't like the style of the prototypes. The style of face mold and long skinny neck was not going to work for me. The art of real people are kind of haunting.
