I've heard this amazing piece performed by various oboeists and orchestras but this performance thanks to Ramon, Oscar himself and wind orchestra is simply magnificent..I am still coming back to this gem and wish there was a recording that can be somehow obtained ❤

I'm from Portugal, and philharmonic bands love using Navarro's compositions. I was first introduced to "Los libertadores" and "osanna in excelsis" and I was so in love with them, I had to check out the rest. And surprise suprise, I adore it. The emotions, the epic sounding themes, even slow passages are incredible to listen to and play. And this one concerto, it makes me feel like I'm elsewhere, in a different reality.

I'm here after last night's airing of the delayed BBC Young Musician 2020 Final. I hope many do as I do, and find this concerto here; in my case, having fallen in love at first listening. It is, as someone mentioned last night "filmic", and I agree. It is so rich and lush that it evokes time and place and emotion, as all the finest film scores do. I am delighted to have discovered this piece, and thank you for it, Mr Navarro.

Lindo concerto de Navarro. Os solos de oboé tem uma leveza mozartiana e os temas são de um lirismo que me levou às lágrimas. Parabéns à banda regida com inteira responsabilidade pelo próprio autor. Foi uma experiência tonal-clássica incrível ouvi-los.
