Our customer collected his 451whp GR Yaris this afternoon and the videos are stating to come through from.
As far as we know this is the most powerful GR Yaris in the uk at the moment. And it’s not stopping there, it’ll be back very soon for E85 race fuel mapping where we should see the power go above 500whp which is an estimated 600+bhp 💪 more updates coming soon.

This video just like many before doesn’t convey true sense of speed . With all that’s going on here but no sense of speed, bummer ❤️🇦🇺love the gr Yaris I own and they are quick .

With the auto industry downsizing cylinder count and nearly eliminating 6 cylinders, I feel like they should do the same to the 4 cylinder and make the 4-cyl/6-cyl dichotomy become the 3-cyl/5-cyl dichotomy. Obviously 10s and 12s are gone, but V8s can take their place. Another cool mathematical thing is that going from 3 to 5 is a 66% increase in cylinder count, and from 5 to 8 is a very similar 60% increase, this is quite UNlike the 4 to 6 50% increase and the 6 to 8 33% increase which allows turbo 6s to dominate NA and even supercharged V8s.

I'm not saying V8s would be wholly superior to 5s due to the bigger difference in cylinder count and displacement, but at least the gap would be close a little. I guarantee most of the auto industry could cover everything it needs with a 1.4L and 1.9L inline 3 for base models, hybrids, and compacts, a 2.3L and 3.2L VR5 for performance models and mid-size vehicles, and a 5.1L V8 for pickup trucks, SUVs, Supercars and whatnot. Especially with the whole mild-hybrid thing going on. Plus you could also make a diesel version of all of them. Not to mention how 5s and 3s just sound good. Neither are as good as a 6 (the 5 gets close/it depends on preference), but both sound better than a 4-cylinder.
