What really finishes to sell this scene for me is how invested the commentators are. Like they could’ve gone the route of making them just look professional and it would’ve been a good scene regardless but seeing them cry, drop their headphones, jump, scream, and cheer makes it feel like the ultimate victory and really puts me in my feels

Imagine you're in this race and literally no one cares about you, your team, or any other racer besides this dude in white. Then he crashes because of some corporate cronie, who gets disqualified, and for the first time in your entire career you feel like you might actually get a shot at a position higher than, idk, 5th place.

Then he just yeets himself from last place straight into first place so fast you literally didn't even know he passed you.
