If you hold left control while selecting a block, you can actually get the data of that block, so: if you hold left control and pick up a creative motor at 256, you get a motor that already is set to 256.

So fun thing is you can hold the control key and pick a block (default key is middle click) and it will keep all the NBT data, Im not sure if it works in Create how im thinking but if it does then you would be able to Press Ctrl + middle click, while looking at the creative motor and then place the new item you get and it will already be set to the speed

Hey Heads up you can use clipboards to copy paste settings for create stuff, best used with stuff like deployers! and the creative motars (I think)
