Instead of unsubcribing each one and risking making it worse, I would just use the "unsubscribe" filter to pick the emails, select all, pick out the ones to keep, and send the rest to spam. Doing this is easier than clicking on each one anyway.

Anytime I use unsubscribe, it seems to make things worse. I just put in my spam folder now. My husband insists that the unsubscribe is a bad bad thing and NEVER USE IT. Is he right? Would it bet better if I was to not use the unsubscribe filter and just put them all in my junk file, or just unsubscribe and put in the trash?

thanks for this video, i happened to get this type of thing just a few minutes ago, i was able to find a n online order that is deeply embedded with hundreds of spam emails, and call to cancel, similarly it doesn't use my credit card, but my online account, i think they probably have some stolen credit card but just use compromised online account to place order to get by and use spam emails to attack, i hope it will stop...

Not sure about handing one's email to the 'control' of someone else or 'clean-up' company.

Isn't it risky to unsubscribe to those emails in spam

I am getting an increased number of spam in my MSN account, but can still access it no problem. My immediate concern is should I worry about having opened a fishing email that had false charges made against me. The email said if I did not send $670 in Bitcoin within 48 hours that this information about me would be released. There was a link to his Bitcoin wallet in the email that I did not click on. Should I be worried about anything? And, since I have another email account, how do I shut down my MSN account if I need to?❤

This is great info, but how do you stop the emails from coming? Any idea?

This was absolutely helpful. I caught someone hacking my Hilton account and spent my entire points balance.

If you unsubscribe all you won't find the fraudulent charge. I had someone open a credit card and I found it by looking under Promotions on gmail. You have to wait a while after you put a freeze with Experian.
