Ok so I think I found some lore:

So, at the start of the game we get a letter about this place and our missing daughter, but we also get a Bunny doll.

And at the end of the game we put the Bunny doll in a case in the storage room.

I believe that the Bunny IS OUR DAUGHTER, here Is why:

The reason that we get this letter in the first place is because these "things" killed our daughter and want us to put the Bunny there and leave.

And you may be thinking:
Well then why do they chase us in chapter 4?

Well I think that, they don't want us to leave, the letter is just bait for us so that they can kill us and trap us here with them.

And maybe this is why we don't ever see us leaving the factory, so we could be dead.

So after putting the Bunny doll in the case we are killed and trapped here.
