Autumn's House (and Mia's a mum now) - Lego Friends set build & review

It is almost 2023 and time to find out what the new Lego Friends reboot really has to offer, in the flesh. First build (kindly provided by Lego) is Autumn's House 41730 and all I can say is WOW. The new characters are endearing and the build is much more challenging than I expected. Check out part 1 here.

I tend to geek out about new pieces, get excited about learning new and interesting building techniques, giggle too much and just generally ramble. Still can’t believe that the LEGO friends I grew up with are getting replaced 😢 but I’m so glad the old friends are still being included (as in becoming parents!) I think Autumn might be my favorite friend already 😊… but I shouldn’t start picking favorites until we meet them all!

And I love the new faces- so cute!

This set is so beautiful!
And I think the "G" on the fridge is for Gabriella.
In the dog rescue center set we can see a picture of Autumn and Gabriella hanging on the wall and I'm not sure what their relation is but I think it's really cute!

I really like the style of this house with the long porch with the lattice details underneath and the fireplace, plus we get a nice big fridge. Though it bothers me a little that there is no whisk piece on the mixer.

I'm in love with this set! Autumn instantly became my favorite character and not just because she's Mia's daughter (though that was the icing on the cake indeed!). I'm really excited for all the adventure that's to come in this new series of Friends. I guess I understand why they left out Mia's freckles, people might think she looks too young or something, but it's true freckles don't fall off when we get old. Loved the Mamma Mia joke haha. And also love the racial diversity and Leo's use of Rex Dangervest's hairpiece. "Turquoise and yellow which seem like obscene colors" Allow me to introduce you to LEGO Rock Raiders, my all-time favorite theme from 1999! Turquoise and yellow were two of the main colors of that theme and it looks AMAZING.

Great video, Ellie! I loved watching you build and review the Autumn's House set from Lego Friends. It looks like such a fun and creative set, and I'm sure it would be a hit with any fan of the Lego Friends line. And it's so cool that Mia is a mom now! i love this! I just wanted to say Ellie, I've been watching your videos since 2015 when they first started coming out. I was six then and now I'm thirteen. I love your channel so much! And I can't believe we have a new generation of lego friends, its exciting. Also it would be so cool if Autumn other parent was Stephanie or one of the other OG lego friends. This lego set / house shape is soo simular to Mia's childhood house.

I love the similarities to Mia's house in the OG sets. That build had quite a small living space with a large front, a small living room on the left, a tiled kitchen without an (attached) table, and a cramped living area. I don't think I've seen a useful fridge like that since Emma's house, so I'm glad they're taking the best parts of all the Friends sets, and putting it all together! Finally, we get more advanced Friends builds. I've heard so many people say "well Friends is for little kids cuz its pink and not creator expert level". Of course, they were wrong, but I'm glad that this line is more accessible to people of all ages. Definitely looking forward to building this one!

I can't wait to see what Lego friends has in store for us for next year, and even though I'm sad to see the old Lego friends that I grew up with go, I'm excited to see where it's heading, and that Lego is being more inclusive! Love from England 🇬🇧✌️

Oh my gosh!! This set is stunning. The one thing I don't like is that I can barely recognize Mia now! I really like the new hair pieces that Lego has made and I can't wait to see the rest of the new Lego Friends. 🙃

When you first told all of us that Mia, Stephanie, Olivia, Andrea and Emma were leaving us and we had new friends I wasn't sure if I would keep building but now I am so excited to see these sets in the shops.😊

Omg this is so cool! First up, I used to think that this new series was going to suck. I was going to miss it and honestly was mad at Lego! But I kind of like it now! After diving more into these sets online I actually didn’t mind it! I have a friend with one arm so I personally I think it’s amazing that Lego is doing that! Second, i love grown up Mia and I wish they would do more grown up characters like Emma, Daniel, Stephanie, etc. when I played, I would always make the grown up! snd it was so fun! To see Mia like this, amazing ✨! And yeah so I love this new line of Lego and so muchhhh! And I personally am a little too old to collect legos 😭 teenager (I know that’s not old but like 😭) but I would love to find one and continue to watch this channel and all of this!

Very nice!! The Friend's houses always feel so nice and Modifiable and expandable? I think if it were me, first thing I'd do is lift the first floor up a brick so we don't have that step down? But the colors are so

I think that the dogs a border collie! Which would make sense as they are very active, outdoor dogs and if you look in the background and at a lot of things in mia/autumns home (eg the chicken rug) you can see its very likely mia owns a ranch or farm! Border collies are sheep dogs, so thats most likely the breed!
