You’re invited to a free, interactive discussion with three philanthropic leaders who will share the tools they have developed and used to authentically and sustainably advance racial equity, hosted by ComNetworkDC.

During this digital happy hour, you will talk directly with:

Tamara Lucas Copeland, who created the Putting Racism on the Table learning series and tools for philanthropic, nonprofit, and civic leaders in the Washington region;

Nina Weissberg, who engaged in the learning series and pushed for change as trustee of the Weissberg Foundation and CEO of a regional real estate company;

Hanh Le, who has shaped and operationalized the Weissberg Foundation’s strategy, which centers racial equity.

Communications practitioners at all levels from a diverse set of nonprofits, foundations, and social-good agencies in the region, all of whom are on their own journeys to address racial inequity.

By the end of the hour, you will have learned about:

Why it’s essential to root your racial equity analysis and actions in an understanding of racialized structural and historical contexts;

Spheres of power, and how to identify your own role in social change;

How to spark or renew your authentic and sustained commitment to racial justice.
