I am a bit appalled by some of the comments that have been made about the story. Negative comments precisely. I don’t think any of us are in a position to judge what is happened has happened. No matter where this ship would’ve gone they would’ve been turned away. I guess if each one of us look deep inside our heart and if it were a relative mother a father and daughter of course we would want them to disembark here in Florida. But more than anything we need to have empathy for these human beings.It’s hard to believe that this debate went on for days and days while they were actually dead people on that ship as well as so many ill passengers. If you don’t know what empathy is look it up in the dictionary and it’s time that all of us start to feel it for other human beings. I’m afraid that if we don’t come together we will definitely be doomed.
