This movie wasn't actually that bad, it just reminded me about how cringy I was when I was 13.

Welp, when a movie gets as much love as hate, it's either they like it because it's accurate, or hate it because it's accurate.

its literally the whole point of the movie to be cringe. its about that stage in life when youre just trying to figure out who you are and make a lot of mistakes along he way

The only cringe I felt was when the mom found the notebook with the drawings Mei did with her and Devon and went straight to Daisy mart and put them on the counter in front of everyone. I sunk so deep into my couch and was just like OH GOD WHY??!” I felt mortified like if it had happened to me 😂😭

I said it once, I'll say it again if I want to:
Everyone was cringe as a kid, and if you deny it, you're still a kid.

Did people really felt ‘cringe’ while watching ALL these scenes? I only felt second hand embarrassment in the Devon scene and at the end of Tyler’s party

I feel like “teenage cringe” is literally the point of this movie. And I love it. Like the cringe in the trailers made it a hard sell. But cringe works so well in the movie.

I actually loved the cringiness in this film because goddamn it is so similar to all my cringy teenage moments. Kind of cool to see a more accurate portrayal of teens as apposed to making them jus mini adults.

I don't think I would like this movie as much without the childhood cringe

I don’t know why people are so surprised by the cringeiness of this movie. I’m pretty sure that was done deliberately because kids at that age Tend to be a bit cringey.

Tbh, this movie were intentionally meant to capture the "cringy" elements of a kid, and they did it pretty well, many of the cringe moments here are what most people actually relate to, if people finds the movie to be "cringe" that means it was written pretty well.

Everyone seems to forget that the characters are pre teens and are still growing to find out who they really are. Also the movie takes place in 2002, way before smart phones, social media and shit like that, we lived to go outside and have fun instead of being on our phones all day. Watching this movie made me have major nostalgia because it brought back a lot of great memories as a kid

I'm surprised someone got away with posting a full-length Disney movie on too YouTube

All the cringe parts were fine to me and most of the time funny and relatable because not only do 13 year olds do cringe things, all young ages do. We all have a cringe memory that we all think of today and think to our selves “uuh ew, why did we do that, that was stupid 😖😣”.

2:10 was not cringe that was just terrifying
edit: why did this get so many likes?

I’m currently 13 (almost 14), and I watched this movie with my parents and they loved it. We didn’t find one part cringey. It’s just the life of teenagers. I know plenty of teenagers who are not cringy.

I genuinely dont understand why people describe this movie as “cringe” I found a lot of these moments funny and cute and not cringe at all, and even the few moments I did find genuinely “cringy” I thought they fit well into a kids movie and are pretty accurate to what its like to be a 13 year old girl

I don’t care. I love that I can cringe watching this movie. it capsulated exactly what being this young was, especially for some that grew up around the early 2000s
