How To Install a Valvetronic Designs Electronic Valve Controller

Well it's been a ride, but I think I finally got a handle on the exhaust valve rattle issue I was having with my Valvetronic Designs exhaust.

Long story short, either the fixing bow or the actuator (or both) were causing some valve rattling during cold start and closed valve revs. After installing this valve controller (because it came with a new actuator and some new fixing bows) I think we're good now.

I still hear some kind of vibration on cold start but 1) it's not as intense and 2) I hear the same sounds coming from Nardo (which has factory installed M Performance exhaust) so at this point I think it's normal or almost normal operation.

Either way, hope this helps anyone out there having a similar issue. I think in 95% of cases, one of these parts will fix the problem.

Now I realize this video doesn’t do a lot to demo the valve controller as a mod, but the point of Valvetronic sending this was to fix the rattle. If you are considering this, it’s a cool unit - especially if you don’t have Bootmod3 and hate the fact your valves won’t stay open on startup.

Hopefully you like it man! I thought I'd hate the separate switch, but you definitely get used to it.
Also that outlet stays on for 10 minutes after you turn the car off and then shuts off. I have mine hard wired to that fuse.
