Donna Summer was doing this decades ago, but she never got the recognition.

Music has no boundaries; if u don't like it don't listen to it

Every single singer has the right to sing whatever music they chose to. Color should have nothing to do with it

Does it matter? They were never going to buy her music anyway. These are the same losers who were hellbent on trolling The Little Mermaid half to death. We really should just deal with them the way we do children who refuse to go to bed when their little fun is over.

Prince was booed off the stage in the beginning of his career, for playing rock. Lenny Kravitz faced a bit of backlash as well. Artists sing, write, paint, draw and dance to what they like. If black ballerinas worried about what others thought about them dancing ballet, they'd never discover how great they are at it. That goes for all creative disciplines. Beyonce is a Texan. Black people invented Country and Rock and Roll music. Beyoncé can spread her wings and try something different if she wants to.

Beyonce and everyone else around the globe can belong anywhere they want to be ! And I love her music -- any genre she wants !

How soon we forget Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, and Sammy Davis Jr. all sang country music. Jackie Wilson sang opera as well. This is not the first time AA artists have diversified into other genres of music.

When the legendary, Linda Ronstadt, (Rock and Rolls Hall of Fame), came out with, "Canciones de Mi Padre" (Songs of My Father), people were aghast.
A collection of Mexican stables in Rancheras Mexicanas (Mexican Country).
The album is the bestselling Non-English US Album. Sold over 2 million copies, in yhe late '80's. She won a Grammy for that work, showcasing her Mexican roots.
Her family of musicians and singers, , played them when she was a little girl. Even though she didn't understand the language, she felt the music and the emotions from it.

We, meaning any groupmarginalized by the “other” : women, LGBTQ+, people of any color, etc, ALL belong where ever we want to put ourselves. B is a VERY talented, savvy, and otherwise smart woman. She can go, play, work, or simply try ANYTHING she puts her mind, heart and soul into.

So glad to hear Sunny Hostin making arguments against the ridiculousness of “cultural appropriation.” Now all she has to do is stay consistent… which we are all certain she won’t.

I get tired of Sunny Hostin talking as if she is the authority on just about any topic. She talks on and over the others. As for Beyoncé, she, just like anybody, belongs in any space she wants to.

Then it shouldn’t matter if a white girl starts rapping, but somehow I’m sure Sunny would disagree
