1800 carat Matrix Opal - Bigger is Better!

Показать описание
In this video, I take an 1860 ct chunk of Andamooka matrix opal and cut it, grind it and polish it. I also took a 36 carat chunk of Mintabie seam opal and made a lovely cabochon out of it. The technique of treating Andamooka matrix opal is mentioned, but not discussed. Beautiful opal arrowheads are in the house and you may be amazed at their stunning, but unexpected appearance. Is is right for somebody to tell you that matrix opal will treat and then does not? I don't think so.

Watching you with my 6 year old daughter has inspired me to start dremel opal carving. We have both become obsessed, I’m super excited to start learning and seeing what beautiful stones I can uncover. I’m looking to purchase my first rough opal parcel in the next few days. Thank you for the content and advice in the videos!

Your humor combined with the information is a perfect mix. Keep it up.

Ps... you opal cutting is amazing but the flinting work is just outstanding.

Your work is amazing! And you have now inspired me to name all of my opals and describe their characteristics lol that’s one of my favorite parts of the videos. Thank you so much for all of the entertainment and knowledge that you’ve given us and Riley is awesome!! I go to 53 frogs first to get my Rough opal! He’s super nice and really good at getting back to any questions that I have. I am excited to have found your page!!

I don't know whether to call your videos educational or entertaining, but what I do know is they're fascinating, compelling, almost addictive viewing (and I have a chuckle too 😄). Keep up the excellent work 👍😊

I love watching your videos. Not only are they enjoyable because of the stones themselves, but you never fail to make me laugh. Thank you.

I love watching you go through all the steps of how you bring out the beautiful colors, cutting and grinding the pieces. The whole process is really fascinating and entertaining. I love how you talk about the personalities of each opal piece 😂. I can't thank you enough for all these videos. You brighten up my day every time I see a new video posted 🥰

I had to go back and take a good look at the wall of arrow heads you so casually threw in there. Those are a lot of arrow heads! I think the arrow heads you made in this video are quite charming. I love all the different kinds of opal with their quirks and assets. I am afraid I got the fever. Great video again!

Very good video again as always, love your work, when I mined at Mintabie, Mintabie was providing more opal to the world than all the other opal fields of Australia put together. Before Mintabie township was named Mintabie Black and Black crystal was taken to Lightning Ridge and sold as A grade Lightning ridge opal. When the township of Mintabie was established the opal then became world renowned. Please say hallow to Sheila😉.
