This dude makes a very good point. Not all homeless people are mentally ill or drug addicts. Imagine if tomorrow you lost your job. Then imagine if the day after that your relationship ended, leaving you with no more paycheque-to-paycheque income and not enough money in your savings to support yourself long term. I’m pretty sure most of us here know that it sucks when you’re short and you’re living paycheque-to-paycheque, but imagine what it’s like for the people who have no source of paycheque-to-paycheque income, and keep in mind that once you get in that situation, it becomes almost impossible to get a job, as you don’t have an address to put on your resume, you don’t have clean clothes to wear to a job interview, you don’t have a phone for prospective employers to contact you on, you smell very bad from not having a stable place to shower or take care of your personal hygiene, and I know there’s a lot of people out there who just want to abuse and use the system but at the same time, there’s a lot of people like this guy who just fall victim through the cracks and who truly need a helping hand to get back on their feet. I was honestly shocked at how easy going this dude was despite his circumstances because I’ve been in his situation before and all I can say about what it does to your personality is it hardens you like a rock because of how most people treat you, which is like you’re either a monster or a project, meaning they either want to fix you, they despise you and want to push you away because they find you disgusting, or they’re afraid of you. I had people scream “GET AWAY FROM ME!!! I HAVE NO MONEY!!!” Then call the cops on me because I asked them what the time was when I was in that situation, and similar events like that were an everyday occurrence when I was in that spot so you can imagine what that honestly does to a person’s mental health having to deal with that 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year

Come on people, this guy is not homeless, the sores on his face are from meth use. He clearly says he his biggest thing he wants is to bring home a pizza to his girlfriend. I'm sure if he has a girlfriend he's going to bring pizza to he's not living in the streets. He looks over the age of 18 so I know his girlfriend is of age unless he's sleeping with a minor. Listen to the video and look at the drink he's holding in his hand before he gives him a drink look at the sores on his face and look at how clean he is I look at the words out of his mouth and what he would need money for. If I was homeless and somebody asked me what would be the biggest thing I would need I would say shelter

By the grace of God, there goes I... I was lucky and had a pick-up to sleep in. That was the worst. Gas stations getting angry because I would bathe and wash my hair in their bathroom. McDonald's would give free large cups of ice... food pantrys were worthless because of my race (I was actually told that). No one hires stinky people, and you have to have an address and phone number.
