The Strokes are a New York based rock band who formed in the late 1990s and released their debut album in 2001. That album, Is This It gained both critical and commercial success. The follow-up, Room On Fire solidified their place in the garage-rock revival of the early 2000s. But by the time their third album hit, First Impressions Of Earth in 2006, interest in the band wained significantly. They took a break and ventured off into solo projects. They returned however in 2011 with the album Angles, which was a huge departure from their previous work incorporating more synthesizers and different sounds. And that brings us to this album, which is a follow-up to Angles and it's entitled Comedown Machine.

What's to say at this point? It's just another post-"Room on Fire" Strokes album.

True. But like I said, I did like it better than Angles.

Yeah, 50/50 has a really cool riff! I don't think it was a necessarily bad album, just mediocre.

Oh no of course not. It's just the whole 80s new wave expiramental thing they had going on I personally wasn't digging. The last track I thought was actually really cool too.

'50 50 'was a good track, along with 'All The Time.' My only 2 faves from the album, to be honest, since the others were a bit boring to listen to. I hope the next one sounds more like their usual stuff.
