I have seen oak derivative to bring infected, gangrenous flesh back to healthy. Of course it had to be debrided but the oak encourages and protects new growth. Otherwise the person would have had to have double amputation of their feet.

Bracken is better for insect bites. Crush stems and young fodder till a juice comes and use that.
