Umm...they didn't take the pot and they shot over the passenger without hitting her? Doesn't sound like a robbery or much of a turf war. Seems more like they where gunning straight for the kid and possibly knew the gf or at least who she was. Turf wars generally don't care who's in the vehicle with him to purposely not hit the passenger.
