The most common objection I hear concerning the Bible is that it can’t be trusted as God’s Word because, well, it was written by man and everyone knows men make mistakes. In actuality, the Bible was written through men, by God.

In speaking of how the Scriptures were written, 2 Peter 1:21 tells us “…holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

The Bible writers were not inspired like great artists are “inspired” to produce great art. The word translated “inspired” means “God-breathed.” It conveys the idea of God “breathing out” the Scriptures. Man was the instrument used by God to convey His thoughts in the Bible.

The Bible is not one book, but 66 different books compiled under one binding. It was written over a period of 1,500 years by about 40 different authors from all walks of life and from varying occupations. It was written in three different languages on three different continents during times of peace and times of war.

The Bible’s authors wrote exactly what God wanted them to write on hundreds of controversial subjects, yet with absolute harmony from beginning to end.

Now think about this: imagine that we interviewed five people of the same nationality, working at the same job, living in the same town, during the same year, and we asked them to speak their mind on just one controversial subject. What are the chances they would all agree?

And yet despite all the differences in the lives of those who penned the Scriptures, the Bible is completely harmonious in its entirety.

The Bible’s remarkable continuity is evidence of its divine origin. This unity is due to the fact that ultimately, it had one Author—God Himself.

The Bible served as a basis for modern scientific pursuits. Modern science was born in the 17th century because of a belief in an unchanging God of order, purpose, and consistency—the God portrayed in the Bible.

It is filled with numerous medical and scientific facts and has been at the forefront of modern day science. When scientists thought the earth was flat, the Bible described the shape of the earth (Isaiah 40:22) and how it is suspended on nothing (Job 26:7). Before oceans were explored, the Bible knew of the existing valleys (Psalm 18:15), fountains, and springs down in the depths (Job 38:16). It even mentions the hydrologic cycle with great clarity (Ecclesiastes 1:6-7).

It is the only “spiritual book” that contains fulfilled prophecy. For example, messianic prophecy foretold that the Messiah would be born of a virgin in Bethlehem, and that He would be rejected by His own people, yet bear their iniquities and save His people from their sin. This ultimately came to fruition at the cross when Jesus triumphantly proclaimed, “It is finished.”

The Bible is God’s living and powerful Word. It can be trusted because it is inerrant, inspired, and infallible. It is the compass God has given us to govern our lives.

The Bible may not tell us everything we want to know, but it certainly tells us everything we need to know in order to have a right relationship with God.

And though it has no contradictions, it certainly does have mistakes. The first one was when man rejected God back in the garden. Don’t do the same.

Excellent video. I used to be an atheist but atheism clearly contradicts itself. Yet Jesus Christ message is clear and concise. I left atheism for Christianity. Great video.

As an engineer, each day I research and learn, the more I marvel at God's creation. Man has been trying for ages to match up to his intelligence and design. Were are light years behind.

Well, you asked me questions... I tried answering them. I just know for me, God isn't something I try to believe to feel good. Christ has changed my heart and that's proof enough for me, it's a personal truth. If Jesus were just a religion, I wouldn't take the time to follow... but it's that relationship that draws me near to Him and His love. I pray that you come to know Christ despite your beliefs now, hope you have a blessed day!!!

@truevoiceofsanity in his 2009 interview he said he was a freedom fighter with no religion but after a missionary in the hospital gave him a flyer with a prayer on it he prayed and asked JESUS if HE was real, to reveal himself and HE walked into his hospital room and said " yes, i am the way to a new life' to him and now he is a born again believer! you cant deny something as great as when that happens to

If you want to pray, pray at home. Every night I pray at the edge of my bed.. My prayers usually just go... “Our Holy God, Please protect and watch over my family. Let nothing harm us, or challenge us in our day ahead. Please, I pray, you’ll listen to this, and give my family protection and well being. Thank you, my holy god and may the deceased Rest In Peace.. *Amen* .”

I like the science of the Bible. For example:
Hebrews 11:3
"By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." The writers who recieved the Word of God from the Holy Spirit, had no concept of molecules, atoms and sub- atomic particles, but the Holy Spirit knew. Brilliant!

Our family just watched this yesterday in place of church services as we were sick. These provided great conversation on what my teenagers could say to friends or strangers. Thank you so much! LOVE these and never tire of them. We are always learning.... :)

in the eternity of love as God is love, the tendency to permanently experience influence/interaction. Not to the order of magnitute, the sensation came due to the 3 way relationships, object to another object and object to love.

You're not taking into account that the Qu'ran is completely nonsensical and contradictory .

The Bible contains prophecies written hundreds of years in advance pointing to Jesus, a historical figure who fulfilled ALL of them, and is currently still living . It also contains no contradictions, is scientifically accurate, and claims the true God has characteristics that an actual loving God would have, unlike others religions . Every other religion is nonsense, that is the harsh truth .

You won't find any believer mentioned in the Bible who didn't show a life consistent with obeying God's word. In the New Testament the second most used word to describe christians after disciple was slave(bondservant). Your master owned you and you did his will, not your own. In the same way we turn away from our old master(sin) in the act of repentance and follow our new master Jesus Christ. If you don't demonstrate repentance, you are not saved.

Example 1 of circular reasoning...for biblical belief:
We shall prove that God exists.
The order and magnificence of the world is evidence of God's Creation.
Therefore, we know that God exists.
Here, it is assumed that God exists in order to satisfy the premise that "God's Creation" is evidence of his existence. There is no standalone argument here that connects existence to God's creation except the conclusion, which is that God exists. Note the slight structural differences in the argument to simple circular reasoning - the order of the world isn't implied by God's existence, but trying to use it as evidence of God's existence must assume he exists in the first place.

Daniel 4:10-11, Matthew 4:8, Luke 4:5, Isaiah 40:22: Isaiah 11:12, Revelation 7:1  <-- actually the bible says the world is flat.  Science is wrong about the earth being round.  Just like they're wrong about evolution and the age of the earth/universe.

@GARYWERSLEY and can you show me this scripture that authorizes such behavior? Also, I don't consider myself religious. In many ways I hate that word. Nah, I try my best to foster a relationship with God as he is. On my understanding there is no intolerance except towards sin (which is rebellion against the most high) God is love friend, and I do all things through love. Not one condemning thread in me. BB theory teaches that living matter came from non-living matter, & that is how we evolved into existence. Just sit a bottle of water on a desk in this environment where water & plastic exists. How many years would it take to for this bottle of water to come about. If you can't believe that could happen in billions of years (cap, bottle, brand paper wrap, & water), then how could you believe that something more complex, humans (brain, bones, blood, heart), can come about in billions of years?

@qwer58j God has made the consequences for our actions fully revealed. So if we defy God and choose a life of sin knowing full well the consequences for our actions, it is not that God was and sends us to Hell, those who defy God choose Hell. Also, God cannot sin, so God did not murder. Like a solider protecting people from harm, God protected His people from those who were baby sacraficers, killers, murderers, incest endorsers, adulterers, etc...
