There was a show like this years ago on THC (I think) that did this exact same thing; gave homes to deserving people to transform their lives. But, I heard that those homes were poorly built bc of the time constraint and that things began falling apart just a few years after the renovation. I hope that this time around with this show, things are built to last, not just built to last for the cameras.

It's like Netflix has no idea how many people on Extreme Home Makeover couldn't afford their houses later on. And how many corners get cut when you've only got one day? The builders for our house had months, went over the deadline, and we're still finding weird stuff more than two decades later.

I hope they also made sure that the homeowners could afford the increased costs, and that not too many corners were cut.

So I just watched the first episode. Overall it was amazing. I do have one tiny suggestion. There was a huge miss with the woman that lost her sight. I kept hoping for an advocate that works with the blind. They could have verbally helped her see her new home. I do not want to take away from the amazing hard work everyone involved did to make this home better for the family. As I watched I just kept hoping for someone with knowledge and experiences to help the mother see what we all were seeing. That's all. God bless us all. Thank you for what looks to be positive happy joyous television. Can never go wrong with that. In my opinion 😁

Honestly The Best Makeover show on NETFLIX love the energy the Host brings and every single reno brought a smile to my face 10/10 show for me can't wait for Season 2 and more to come will definitely keep my subscription specifically for this show in particular. I hope the producers allow the hostess to be a softer more aware safety version of her character. You have the opportunity to promote intelligence in a dangerous work place. These producers should realize as viewers we like the reality not the mania and screaming. Its cool stuff and cool people

I love shows like this and the look on their faces when it’s finished...it is beautiful to see💯Behind the scenes is a different story...is Netflix footing the tax bill for these families because ‘gifts’ like this come with a tax bill that isn’t cheap whatsoever! Just like people on the game shows who win all those prizes...they have to pay taxes on all that stuff🤔I hope it’s part of an opening disclaimer that all taxes were paid by Netflix because that would be some BS....SURPRISE here is your new bathroom, kitchen, living room, ect & then down the road when the cameras are off...SURPRISE here is a tax bill for $5k-$10k💯
