SFV: Oro Tips - Beginner Combos
Показать описание
Want to learn how to play Oro but don't know where to start? Confused by all the combo videos and waffle? Don't know how to HOI good? Well this is the tutorial for you!
In this tutorial I will cover what I consider are the key beginner combos to learn before going on to learn harder hit-confirms and link combos. I will also cover a primer to intermediate combos, punishing, jump-ins and anti-airs :)
*CHARGING*
Oro is a hybrid character where he has both charge and circular motion specials so you won't be sitting on down-back all the time like Guile. Saying that it is important to learn to hide your charge in recovery animations and jumping. As fireballs are charge specials much like Guile he recovers from them quickly too.
*V-SKILLS & V-TRIGGERS*
I would recomend V-Skill 1 for beginners as you need to be good with link combos to make the most out of VS2, saying that VS1 is pretty godlike xD Both V-Triggers are good, VT1 is 2-bar and good extra damage but again VT2 is too godlike to not use and not hard to use at all. I see no reason why not to use d+HP+HK over HP+HK, damage is nuts and pressure is also crazy. 620 damage off a light? Crazy! xD You won't see that in a game though as your opponent will go into full defense mode when you activate, maybe from a baited reversal DP. f+MK to bait a throw tech and you're golden xD
*METER USAGE*
My advise would be to use EX for combo extension (EX Tsurane) and invincibility for EX Oni otherwise save for CA. Don't use EX when using VT cancel combos either as the damage scaling doesn't make it worth while.
Oro has pretty crazy meterless damage off a medium, I wanted to include it as it's not hard at all and just needs a bit of practice. s.MP is actually just as fast as c.HP (7 frames) so anything you can punish with s.MP you can punish with c.HP and visa versa.
Oro is a pretty interesting character, it seems like they've given him all the tools plus OP VS and VT xD
Any questions about the video, combos, character, game, etc. please leave a comment and I'll do my best to answer :)
