BONUS FACT: If we lived on Saturn's moon Titan, we probably would have used the freezing and boiling points of methane for our "100 step" (centigrade) scale.

And twitter - @minutephysics

Minute Physics provides an energetic and entertaining view of old and new problems in physics -- all in a minute!

Solution to the Bob Spam:

1) click the little button in the top right corner of a comment
2) click report abuse
3) make sure commercial or unwanted spam is checked
4) click continue.

End the spam outrage.

I would much prefer true "minute" physics. This 10 second thing is a little over-the-top, I feel more frustrated than enlightened now.

Bonus Bonus Fact: On Titan, the atmosphere is so thick and the gravity is so weak, a person with wings strapped to his arms could fly by flapping them.

The 10 seconds thing didn't work that well for this video. You talk way too fast and saying "96 is the temperature of health" just adds way too many questions to it. Health? What health? Why 96? etc etc. This question/answer video would fit better in a minute video, rather than 10 seconds.

Henry Reich - How about a 30s series? Might help my slow brain to keep up! :)

<Aside>
I see the spammers are still spamming. How pathetic. So many people raging against Google+ for no good reason. Google+ isn't the problem here; the spammers are. Please stop.

Don't listen to anyone else! These ten second videos are great! I can watch them in the morning in ten seconds, even if I'm running late! Great stuff!

I would greatly prefer a slightly longer format. My attention span isn't quite "that" short. Being able to do it in 10 seconds is cool and all ... but I end up watching it again because the narration rolls by so fast that I get to the end and go "wait, what did he just say?" My attention span is long, but my patience for hitting the replay button isn't.

Celcius, Kelvin and Farenheit according to me:
Celsius: Waters freezing point is 0°C and the boiling temperature is 100°C.
Kelvin: Scales the same as Celcius but 0K is at absolute zero.
Farenheit: Random, unmathematical, unexplainable and ulogical scale that I have no idea how it works.

I like these shorter ones. I feel like each of these could have a whole nother longer video talking about the topic. I want to know more form ya!

Salt water freezes at different degrees depending on salinity.
There should be some sort of plimsoll line on the zero F scale.
The US is the only country left in the world that still uses the obsolete Fahrenheit scale. (even Burma has now adopted metric, leaving only Liberia using US measurements out of loyalty or something).

Don't get down over the criticism! :D This is a good idea keep it up!

No you are doing it wrong!!! You need to make minute long videos. Hence the name "minutephysics"

You seem to be getting a lot of flack for these videos. I wanted to tell you that I appreciate them. I appreciate that you make any videos at all for us, because you certainly don't have to, but you do anyway because you love sharing knowledge and helping others learn. Sure, these may not be the most informative videos ever, but they aren't meant to be. I hope I'm correct in assuming that you wanted to make these videos a jumping off point for physics topics people might be interested in. The most rewarding thing I've done online isn't necessarily having someone in a video explain things to me (which is fun), but looking around, doing my own research, and learning from multiple points of reference. This is the heart of learning, not just watching videos, and I think you understand and want to emphasis that. So, on behalf of all the people who can't seem to wrap their heads around this format and spew ridiculousness because your videos dont suit their own personal desires, I want to apologize and say that I appreciate your videos. Keep up the good work.

from minute physics, to 10 sec physics.. in a few years we'll get second physics :) and thats a challenge to the future henry! ^_^

I understand no one likes google+ but spamming the tank in comments sections is not gonna help the matter. All you're doing is making it harder for the channel.

I'm loving these videos just as much as I love all your videos, and I know this point has been made before, but I think thirty seconds rather than ten would make your points clearer and give more information while still making a shorter video than your usual ones. Just a suggestion of course, and thanks for the daily science videos! Keep up the good work :)

its too fast. the value of physics is with its deep and slow thinking in every specified thing, you are getting the whole purpose of it from us

and here i thought Fahrenheit was just some random dude who said: "Frozen water? 32 DEGREES!!!!"

I knew this but still, I like the 10 sec videos idea!
And everybody, for fucks sake stop spamming on every youtube video! If you really want something to change, mail google and explain what part you don't like about these changes.

Do not like this new 10 seconds thing. If you can explain something in 10 secs then it should be something so basic that almost everybody knows already... So not liking it
