How did Jenna Ortega save the show Wednesday?

Why did Jenna Ortega have to save the show Wednesday? Jenna says during the shooting of the show she had to be unprofessional because she got into arguments with the writers of the show when she was asked to do scenes that didn't make any sense for her character. She believed that Wednesday would never be caught in a love triangle and said that many times the writers wrote cringe lines for her character, so she would refuse to say them or tweak the lines without asking.

It wasn’t the writers that made it a hit. It was the character continuity brought by Ms Ortaga. She got in character and stayed in character not allowing bad lines to be put in her mouth.

She’s not entitled, she just didn’t wanna be embarrassed or uncomfortable. The writers were trying to force her to do things she didn’t want to do and she called them out for it. She is not an “entitled brat”, she is just standing up for herself.

Jenna is very wise. She knows how iconic Wednesday is, so she was trying to protect the character and also bring something new to the table. She did a great job portraying Wednesday. I can't wait to see Season 2. My mom watched the Addams Family when she was a kid. I watched the Addams Family when I was a kid. My mom and I bonded over The Addams Family.
