I go to a local shop. The owner stopped doing online sales after covid, sadly. He fixes everything himself and will even give a list of repairs done on any system. Not only is it a games store, he sells toys and even has a full retro arcade now. The only reason why I don't go there exclusively is that he doesn't sell new games

I've had pretty good experiences with them! I've bought a few consoles and games from Lukie over the years and I don't remember having any issues.

For folks questioning whether it's legit due to the blobs, many of the mass-produced pack-in games like Tetris GB had variants with blobs. There's also a Nintendo logo on the PCB in this video suggesting it's legit.

I bought some games from them a few times only had one issue a copy of 10 yard fight the pins was corroded bad and nothing got it to work. They sent me a replacement and told me to throw the bad copy away

If you use an eraser and rubbing alcohol pins can still look like that. Fairly common on games that was used regularly / dirtiest.

I actually like Lukie Games as their games work and very well. I still own a Ps2 they gave me.

those pins look like a prime candidate for a pencil eraser, works great on stuff like that

DON'T click down the games in old NES consoles!

They run just fine without being clicked down, and it puts a LOT less stress on the pins.

Use the eraser to clean the gold pads. It will give a very good result.

If you want those pins to shine, just use Brasso

I wonder if there's a price difference between the older gray light gun & the orange one.

I reset the pins on the 72 pin connector and cleaned the pins on the main board like in your two videos here, but it still struggles to load the games. Any suggestions?
