The lesson here is that….. this book still should be bought but at a lower price compared to other 2.0s that don’t have these issues. Please remember to Like 👍🏻 and comment below!

5:13 💯 they removed label notes to help sellers and big auction houses, not buyers/collectors

Quality sellers as well as the top auction houses make the notes available. I always include the label notes when trading or selling a bigger book. Nice info for the newer collectors.

Thanks. I just started getting into buying slabs and older books. I will always look up the grader's notes from now on, so your video helped at least one person.

yup, always check the serial number, for the graders notes.

Thank you for the reminder…Good video!

This is the type of book where sub grading would be invaluable. Personally though, the grade reflects the book as a whole. If I had a low grade slab that presented that well, I would be happy to have it on my wall. To each his own.

Thank you and very informative for making acquisitions. It’s important to look up the serial numbers and this is a great reminder to do so. Thank you.

That shouldn't have even been a 2.0 - absurd. Buyer beware indeed.

That should be a qualified book with all those issues. Seems like a scam by CGC just to keep customers satisfied. I know you can request a universal blue labe over a qualified green label, but there should be limits to what's allowed to pass. Thanks for sharing!

Haven’t thought about that. Thanks for the advice

the punch holes are obvious, but the detached cover...not so much.

I know it's not in the notes but Id assume the cover is married if only the interior had the punch holes to store in a binder

How did it get a 2.0 with cover detached and other major graded notes… strange

The triple hole sounds like it was put into a 3 ring binder

I don’t know for sure but I’ve seen holes similar

CGC dropping the ball why nothing on the label about a detached cover?
Also shouldn’t removed staples be a green label?

Like staples get detached on mid high grade silver age and they get qualified labels

The buyer should inspect the book

But CGC should make this information like removed staples and copy from bound volume visible on the front of it

Also seller should note the notes in the listing if CGC made notes

Great video and info! Do you think it’s a good time to buy a low grade X-men 1 right now or do you think it can still drop in price?

I'm new to this. What is GPA? is that an app or a website? What does GPA stand for. Google gives me too many results.

CGC service value keeps diminishing. I was this close to becoming a regular submitter when bananagate hit. Everything that’s happened since…f*ck CGC. I’m done.
