the reason he blocked the shots is to stop momentum for the two guys shooting cuz sometimes seeing the ball going in starts up your constancy an the last thing they want is two guys making there shots right after the timeout

too many disturbing, disappointing trends in the league..
1. Bigs who have no business shooting 3s are heaving them at an unprecedented rate.
2. The nba becoming a 3pt shot crazed league. This is why the center position is diminished because there's no longer any focus on the position or playing inside/out. How an athletic 7footer playing by the rim falling out of vogue is mind boggling. Its like "Hey Cousins, don't post up where u can dominate, shoot from 26ft out instead!"
3. Players goaltending shots attempted after the whistle. Somebody is gonna have to pull a hammy or blow a knee out to have this childishly lame trend outlawed by teams. It accomplishes NOTHING.
4. From a purist's standpoint: Home teams wearing road uni's at home, forcing away teams to wear their home ones. Another lame, pointless trend. Thanks, Lebron led Heat in the 2010's. The league followed like sheep n continues to do it to this day.
5. Players trying harder to draw the foul than actually MAKING the shot, especially on 3pt attempts. How many times is Jamal Crawford n Lou Williams gonna try and MAKE a 3 as opposed to perpetuating contact for 3 easy freethrows??
6. Players continually forcing the refs hand into blowing the whistle by ever so BLATANTLY SELLING FOULS. Will it ever stop?! Lookin at you, Harden.

Funny how Durant nearly injured Paul George trying to steal the ball from him as he was calling timeout (Beverley and Westbrook, anyone)...but we won't say anything because it's Kevin Durant. The double standard is hilarious.
