I wonder if adding a rubber layer would soak up some of the vibration? Could you do one between the mount and the cage and another between the mount and the camera? But that's not why I'm writing. You're a fairly new pilot and you're turning aggressively, losing loads of altitude, low to the ground.

1) I don't want to see you get hurt. You seem like a great guy and we're all loving your videos.
2) I don't want to anybody that thinks as highly of you as I do get hurt. It's clear that in a few months time you're going to be a thought leader in the sport. People who want to be "Anthony Vella" are going to fly like you. Set that example right, if you're going to get jiggy with it, do it up high.

Edit: I haven't seen your work off of facebook before. I am your 415th sub. :)

Gosh damn I want to edit like you when I grow up. As to the camera mount issue, on your head is gonna be the only real option short of a huge gimbal. Anything touching any hard part is gonna have that jello.

Great video, Anthony. Thank you for sharing this. I used to live down there in El Paso. Graduated UTEP in December 2006.

You are very welcome Anthony! Glad to see the mount holds the cams fine. It's made out of flexible TPU but obviously not enough to dampen the big vibes on paramotors. You will no doubt need either mechanical, optical or digital stabilization. Not sure anyone else has tried what you are doing, so you could be the pioneer on this one. Probably not enough room to install a steadycam mount ;)

Thank you for your service! That edit was clean btw. I really like it. You make me want to get a good camera.

Yup, mounting a camera to the Maverick frame, or any frame really, will cause quite a bit of vibration to transfer to your camera. I've modified a go pro mount to fit at the top of the Maverick and then, using a GoPro 7 with hypermooth, been able to capture smooth video.

You could use a Rigwheels Cloud Mount Camera Vibration Isolater mounted on top of your 3d printed custom mount if you wanted to avoid using software to smooth your video. I've not tried this myself.

Keep up these videos Anthony and sharing. It's inspiring.

Thanks for another great video!! Maybe try a chest mount? Good try with the cage mount though

Antman...I'm in the mount business myself. Have a side business that makes a dash mount for Toyota Tacoma pickups (like the one you see me drive). I did a lot of R&D and learned a lot about bad vibes. The frame of the paramotor is always gonna be the source of a shake you can't shake. No matter the solid-ness of the mount, it will pass on the shake, if the base it's mounted to shakes. You're going to have to scrap the idea of having the camera on the frame. BTW...Next time we fly, I've got to show you my new strobe setup that I fabed up myself...primo! Another sweet vid too!

Maybe cut a section to fit from a mouse pad to use as a shock absorber.

Anthony, you’re videos are fantastic! I soak up the big 3: Tucker, KyleO, & Woody. Like Woody said, I believe with your personality and video work, you’ll rise quickly in YouTube land. I fly near Seattle and watch these vids with my boys: up and coming pilots. I’d love to watch your vids with them. So, My ‘ask’ of you is that you might curtail the language a scosch to enable your viewership to rise (including half size viewers) Like the Big 3, I believe you’ll climb quickly here. Lastly, Fucking Awesome productions your putting out there. Keep it up!

JELLO! was that piece printed out of TPU? If not that would help alot to remove the vibrations. Ive never tried to get jello out of a dslr but the solution we used for a long time on gopros was velcro underneath until 3d printing with TPU became a common thing and that solved the problem. That clearly will not work for a DSLR haha but the idea is the same, to isolate camera from vibrations. Another option is to minimize the jello effect, by adding an ND filter and running a lower shutter speed. You can also minimize its effects in post with software, you could start by trying the stabilize footage feature in premiere/after effects, or try using something like real steady. Those are more like bandaides though and may or may not work. The best option is to eliminate it at the source, which would be removing the vibrations to the camera some how.

Btw great videos please keep it up, good stuff

Direct mount jello sucks! Still waiting for someone with a GoPro 7 to knock it out. Great Video.
