I have this house! It's a lot of fun, it does need a bit of restoration still. I've always loved the look of it.

That Barbie house is adorable! I have never seen it before but I really seems to like it.
It's amazing that you got it for such a cheap price!

Cute that your little dog wants to sit next to the Barbie house when you're filming. 😊

That was a really great review Ian. That house is absolutely spot on mid century modern. I like how you have added clips from the old commercials which are always welcome. Lots of good facts there! Thank you!

Congratulations - that is quite a stunning property. I can see the faszination for the mid Century esthetics. There is something pleasant - something Doris Day-esque. I love the beautiful interior. Thanks for your tour. Lovely dog - btw.

Never have seen this doll house in person, but would definitely love to own one. I grew up with the original card board dream house and found one on eBay which was not in the best of shape. Luckily Mattel issued a reproduction a few years back and I was able to get that one. Really have enjoyed your videos, I always come away with learning something new and of course wanting to buy something new as well! Thanks for sharing this house and your doll collection. Take care.

I have the Hallmark ornament of a similar house, the Barbie “Deluxe Family House” which I love. I very much enjoyed your thorough look at this one and also the contemporaneous dolls!

I Love Francie. I got her when she came out along with Midge when she was new. We couldn’t afford much and those dolls were my most precious possessions. To this day I missed them as Mom and Dad had to get rid of our toys when we moved from California to Canada. Hi how I wish I had my Barbie things. Consolation was my younger more monied cousin had dozens of dolls and fashions. Only thing was she never wanted us to plat with her dolls. She kept them in perfect condition till college where they were put in the family barn to rot away 🥲🥲🥲

Wonderful job! Very entertaining! You are so knowledgeable! I think the only Barbie thing I have from 1965 is the original American Girl Barbie. (who I thrifted for 88 cents!) That house and the clothes from 1965 and 1966 are beautiful!

As always, a great video. You sure do your homework. Your voice has such a calming effect. The size of the kitchen cracked me up!😄

Hi, Ian. I'm a new sub I love your collection. I wanted to inform you that the mod era began well before 1968. In fact, in the Beatles movie A Hard Days Night, from 1964, Ringo is asked, "Are you a mod or a rocker?" "No, " he replies, "I'm a mocker ." I was born in 1955 and I was definitely wearing mod outfits by 1965, at the latest. I had a Twiggy haircut, then a "Sasoon" style as well, and big round sunglasses. At age 12, in 1967, I was finally allowed to wear silvery-white lipstick. 😊

It's kind of a step down from the Newly Restyled Dream House. That is my personal favorite of the vintage era. I wish Mattel would reproduce it so I could have an affordable pristine example of it.

Hi is it true you can get a print out of the cardboard house??

Maybe they enslaved Skipper and she was meant to take care of the house. That´s why the kitchen was her size.
