This made me cry. I was once homeless. It sucks for sure, to have small goals like owning a vehicle or having a stable job seemed almost impossible for me years ago. I’m 29, I never dreamed of making professional sports. All I wanted was to have a home to sleep at and a job to take care of my family. Now I have a beautiful wife, and a boy and girl, job, renting a house, truck. When all this in 9 years. When I was 21 I would have never dreamed about having all this. All I had was hope, try to be the best person I can be. That’s how I did it. Godbless anyone to sees this.

Got interested finding out all about JIMMY BUTLER, now one of the biggest stars of NBA playing for MIAMI HEAT, whose head coach is part Filipino. Im in awe of his very touching story. Being abandoned by a heartless father, equally kicked out by an equally heartless mother, being a homeless man sleeping in streets to become one of the greatest NBA player that he is. Man, you are the quintessence of how a dream can be assidously pursued despite the impossible odds. I wonder what your biological parents are thinking now about your fame and stature, and about a son they once abandoned and threw out the street once upon a time.

This story made me cry as we share similar story. My father kicked me out of the house after years of physical and mental abuse. From homelessness, I am a Process Engineer with 4 college degrees, and 2 high end IT certifications. Hardship prepare you to greatness, be compassionate all the time.

I always liked Jimmy Butler. One of the hardest workers in the NBA. He didn't have amazing athleticism to rely on but his sheer work ethic got him through and never giving up.
