You alright babes? It's about bloody time we rated London as a place to live!!

Over the past two years, we've been spending an increasing amount of time in London, especially on extended layovers between Dan's review flights. Since Dan was born here, we also have a special connection to the city. Could this be enough for us to settle down here...?🥹

🏨The hotel we stayed at in September 2024? The Kimpton Fitzroy by Russell Square!

We’re Oskar🧔🏻 and Dan👱🏻‍♂️, and we believe that anyone regardless of who they are deserves to live their dreams! For the past nine years, we’ve continued pushing boundaries by traveling and living all across the world, including places like Uganda, Brunei, and Saudi Arabia. In 2022, we reached a huge milestone by visiting 100 countries and we’re now on a mission to keep sharing our journey and hopefully make the world a little more open, compassionate, and peaceful along the way❤️

Thank you for being a part of the journey!

----------------------------------

The United Kingdom was our 9th country together🌍

We have now been to 102 countries🗺️

We've tried to include as many parts of London as possible in this video. Throughout the two stays we've included in the video, we spend time in Primrose Hill, Regents Park, Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Canary Wharf, Westminster, Covent Garden, SOHO, Marylebone, Camden Town, Chinatown, Bloomsbury, Holborn, and more, and we also go on a Thames River Cruise!

Thank you for watching!🙏😍

More Dan’s mom, please. She’s wonderful and her thought bubble is hilarious.

Little known fact, although London has the phone grabbing festival all year round, it's homicide rate is lower than Sweden's, significantly lower than S. Korea, and about 5x lower than the US average, where it would score the equivalent to a village. This is due to the strictest weapon laws in the world -the dozens of 'knife incident's' you hear about every day, are not stabbings or cutting (only 4% of the total), but largely possession. The one thing you do need to keep your wits about you is theft, which the police completely ignore.

I have been all over the world, London is not perfect, but London is my favourite city in the it has everything, culture, nightlife, history etc.... all mostly in walking distance.... as they say, if you are 'tired of London you are tired of life' - great blog

It struck me when you said London is like a collection of villages. In fact, a lot of British cities and in fact probably a lot of European cities in general are just that in fact. They started off in the past as villages with their own centres and facilities and gradually spread out and merged. Manchester is very much like that too. So is Newcastle.

Hard disagree with the weather rating. London used to be chilly and grey but in the last decade it’s become hotter and brighter. So much so that it’s frequently reported as warmer than Spain during summer.

I agree with Dan’s mom…London is my favourite city. One of my best friends lives there, so I’ve visited many times and absolutely love it. He’s lived there 25 years (we’re both Americans) and loves it as well. Since I’ve been visiting he’s lived in Muswell Hill and now near Regent’s Park.

A terrific job of juxtaposing both visits in one video.
You guys continue to warm my heart because you’re just genuinely sweet and kind, and are staying true to yourselves.
You’ve evolved in many ways, yet deep down I still get the warm fuzzies that brought me to your channel originally. I can’t say that for others who tend to go in different directions.

London to me would be a good choice! Good luck as you continue to test the waters internationally.
Loved seeing Mom too. She’s just lovely. 😍

Lovely. Sometime, go up in the Tower Bridge. The museum all about the engineering and history is fascinating. And you can go on the glass walk and look down. Canary - pronounced Kan-airy, like the bird.

Of the cities I have been to, London and Florence are my absolute favourites. London has the edge for me because I can speak English, whereas I cannot speak Italian. Thank you for the video!

Of course if you live in london you get the rest of europe thrown in. It is easy to take cheap trips all around the continent. I love that london has so many layers and beighbourhoods to visit it has one of the two best libraries in the world and many huge and free museums. It also has lots of parks.once you have solved the cost of housing it is a great place to live .

Hey guys - I'm really glad you had a good trip to London and caught some sunny weather. It was so wet last year as you discovered for yourselves. I really appreciate that you gave our supermarkets a big shout out! I think they do a great job too. There's a lot of haters out there for the UK at the moment - so thank you for giving a more positive and balanced perspective for your followers around the world. 😘

I've lived in London for 20 years. I love it. A lot of the inner suburbs do feel like villages as they have everything you need within walking distance. We only drive if we need to drop off our dog for a grooming, otherwise we do almost all our shopping within a 20 min walk.

Hi guys

Love your videos!! I have lived in or near London all my life so very interested to see your summary and score. I think this was very fair except the issue of safety is something that can be exaggerated. It seems only in recent years that the concern about phone snatching has arisen. All I can say is that it has never happened to me or anyone I know but obviously in any big city you need to be mindful of the stuff you carry around. In terms of actual violence or safety in that sense, again I have been fortunate never to encounter that (obviously it can happen) nor is any area of London really off limits in terms of safety.

The biggest obstacle for younger people moving here is cost of property (both rental and buying) but you can move a bit out of London to nice, similarly cosmopolitan districts and still have access and where prices are more affordable.

You might also consider Brighton on the south coast which people call ‘London by the sea’ noted in particular for its diverse population, LGBT in particular.

Good luck and hope you find the country where you want to be x
