Minecraft is getting an official native PS5 version release with improved visuals by Mojang! This video shows 20 minutes of gameplay recorded directly from
the Playstation 5

Message from Mojang:
We have some exciting news for our PlayStation®5 community! Today we’re launching the first preview of a native version of Minecraft for the Sony PlayStation®5 – and we need your help to test it!

If you own the PS4® version of Minecraft for your PS5®, you’ll be able to access and test this early version by navigating to “Settings” and then “Preview” within the game*. This preview includes the new Tricky Trials Update, so you can venture into the trial chambers, meet a breeze, craft a mace, and more – all while trying out a version of Minecraft that’s designed for your console! As this is a preview version, we’ll need your help in hunting bugs (and we’re not talking about the silverfish spawning from trial spawners), as well as gathering any feedback. You can find out more about how to submit this below!
*PS5 Preview will start to roll out at 9:30am Pacific Time / 18:30pm CET. Please note that it may take a few hours for you to see it enabled on your device.

if they add zero of the features of current gen then whats the point of the ps5 version.And im pretty sure most people just want RTX wether its 60fps or 120fps becuase as of now its pointless and tbh i see no differance between the ps4 and 5 versions

“Why the fuck did something like this take so long?”

Downloaded the preview and still can’t access upscaling or ray tracing.

(The amount of PS5 games using the PS5 Controller Haptic Feedback feature actually baffles me)
