Actor Jason David Frank dead at 49

Actor and mixed martial artist Jason David Frank has died, his representatives confirmed to Geek Ireland. The “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” star was 49 years old.

The whole show made my Childhood special. At that time I leaned on the show after I almost attempted to take my own life when I was little once. The show taught me that it was okay to be myself and not change for anyone. Being able to Meet JDF 3 times meant a lot to me! I feel bad for his close friends and Family who knew him better then his fans like I did. My prayers go out to them

I grew up watching Power Rangers and was obsessed with the show for a good while from the first season. This legit made me sad to hear about. Hated to hear that he died, let alone that he probably died from suicide as well. I wish he could and would have reached out to someone(s) who could have helped prevent this if so. Always hoped to go to a comic con and meet him. He was always my favorite Ranger.

He was also going through a divorce. The two were fighting right before. I'm 38, female and I would race home from school everyday to catch Power Rangers and I had MD, but I would race home in order to catch it. Huge influence when I was growing up. He was my favorite character and to hear about his passing is absolutely heartbreaking.

Jason David Frank was an awesome actor. He was my favorite Power Ranger actor. His role as Tommy Oliver was astounding. But then, I found about his passing earlier today. It’s so sad. R.I.P., Jason. You will be remembered and dearly missed.

I'm 59 all my life growing up I never heard of so many performers dying young like now! And they always say suicide even before a Coronor diagnoses the cause. These people aren't committing suicide and anyone who's intelligent can see it. How sad

I met his daughter once whom I picked up and dropped her off near six flags magic mountain in Valencia. The daughter spoke of how great and loving of a father her dad was. RIP white ranger.

😭😭😭 so many memories as a kid. I remember being a little punk at my Grandmas house she'd make me sopa or something else to eat while watching the mighty Morphin power rangers and Batman the animated series in East LA. Waiting for mom to get home from work 🥺 this is heartbreaking 💔 😭
