Phil joined Genesis in’71 as the drummer. He became lead singer in’76 and continued with the band till the mid 90’s, then he joined them for a tour in 2007 and again last year.
His solo career started in ‘81. He was a very busy man in the 80’s and 90’s with genesis and his solo career. You could not turn on the radio without hearing Phil.

Phil Collins is one of only three artists that have sold over 100 million albums as a solo artist and over 100 million albums as part of a group.... the other two being Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney. Phil is in with music royalty.

Phil did both, solo career and with Genesis. When Genesis had down periods between tours, Phil did solo work. Same for another band member. Mike Rutherford was the guitar player and had another group called Mike and The Mechanics. Phil is so talented... best of the best. Always love him and Genesis.
