I'm actually a bit confused! At 2:08 it's shown that mitosis is halted due to the microtubules inability to disassemble during anaphase, but an article I'm reading, "How Paclitaxel Kills Cancer Cells" by Beth E. Weaver, says that mitosis is halted at the miotic checkpoint during metaphase due to unattached kinetochores, preventing anaphase from ever happening. Which if true, doubles my confusion, because if paclitaxel is promoting assembly of microtubules then shouldn't that assist microtubules connecting to kinetochores?
