Windows 10 released in 2015 and to this day it's probably still the best Windows OS ever.

Its funny how all of a sudden Windows 10 is getting love, whilst when it was mainstream everyone on the internet was bashing the OS for the silliest things

Windows 10 = Sharp Square
Windows 11 = Rounded

Windows 10 = just right click
Windows 11 = more click

Windows 10 = its fast
Windows 11 = sometime its fast sometimes its slow

Windows 10 = modern dekstop UI design
Windows 11 = approaching MAC UI design

Windows 10 = they quite messing with legacy UI but its consistent
Windows 11 = alot of reddit user and forum including me pissed off

Remembered back in 2015, when saw Windows 10 launched on Internet, I felt like want to try it. Cause device's limitation in spec, even lack of ability to install Windows, Windows 10 was still like a dream

Until 3 years later, in 2018. When bought Asus laptop which came with Windows 10 (it even supported Windows 11, as hardware inside of it were eligible. I'm not lie, is true). I have many joys and sorrows with Win10. From some lags, even ability to customize like using Android OS, and changing colors like Win8

I agree. Compared to Windows 11 in terms of smooth experience, Windows 10 still holds up...

And tile shortcuts on Windows 10 make Windows 10 more colorful

The reason windows 10 is still popular is because doing a tweak or setting is not removed when u do windows update which is the reason i also swtiched back to windows 10

Windows 10 is NOT the best Windows OS (which should be Windows 7 imo),

but it is the best Windows OS that's officially supported (well, you only get to choose between 10 and 11, and 11 is a joke)

2:04 Excellent. Since Windows 10 is still up to date, and if you are a geek in computing. You can mod the file explorer to have them similar to the ui. And it doesn't need a dedicated programming language. Just a graphical ui and that's it

If only Microsoft had been more careful with updates and released only the most necessary ones (maybe once a year instead twice), W10 would have surpassed W7 in reception and reputation. Some years ago people complained about updates that caused bugs, and was true, but after a time the OS was stable. And this happens now with W11 too. However, in my experience, I had more bugs with W11 in one year than with W10 in seven years.

One thing that people seem to forget is Windows 10 was a slow evolution. Windows 10 in 2015 is extremely different than 2022 versions. If you pay attention, Microsoft eased Windows 10 into the more modern Windows 11 design language (in terms of the icons). The original icons were flat and colorless, where now they are colorful and have a bit of depth.

Also I could not disagree more in terms of Windows 10’s UI consistency. I think that Windows 10’s UI is the most inconsistent jumbled mess Microsoft has ever released. Most obvious example would be Settings app vs Control panel, or heck the lack of dark theme support in the control panel. Also, WHY is game bar literally baked into Windows 10 and Windows Server versions with no way to uninstall??

Anyways, it’s a good OS, but those are my thoughts lol
