Environmental Peacebuilding Governance and Practices: Comparative Lessons
Показать описание
This panel was part of the Second International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding (February 1-4, 2022).
As environmental peacebuilding is still in its infancy much can be learned from practical examples. Do current peacebuilding approaches pay sufficient attention to the contribution that the environment can make towards a lasting peace, or are Governments and International Organisations involved in peacebuilding processes taking a wrong turn? How can we ensure the environment is not forgotten in such situations and, better still, how can we ensure positive ecological peace? This panel will explore the theoretical underpinnings of these questions, using real case studies.
